Bienvenidos a Ixtle! A collaborative agave spirits tasting room created by the minds behind 5 Sentidos & NETA. Located in the historic neighborhood of Santa María La Ribera in Mexico City, Ixtle offers intimate agave spirits tastings for groups of 1-6 people, with the intention of educating palates and minds through informative degustations. Currently, we offer three unique tasting experiences:  

 

Introduction to Mezcal

This tasting is apt for drinkers who are newer to the category, or wish to enrich their knowledge about traditional agave spirits. The tasting consists of at least six different expressions curated by NETA and 5 Sentidos, exploring a range of agave varieties, terroir, and production techniques, with the goal of providing a comprehensive panorama of agave spirits production from various Oaxacan villages.

5 Sentidos Bottle Collector’s Tasting

For the mezcal aficionado who is already familiar with 5 Sentidos, and is in search of rare bottles that are available exclusively in Mexico. A minimum of six destilados will be served, along with explanations about production and provenance.

Neta Bottle Collector’s

For those already familiar with NETA who want to dive deeper into the mezcales of Miahuatlán, with an opportunity to taste rare and limited releases available only in Mexico, including selections from our archive.
